I was born in Los Angeles, California.
I started painting and drawing when I was six years of age. Mostly
I drew because I was bored or daydreaming. Also because I missed
my Dad a lot, since he was always away, traveling with Frank Sinatra,
whom he worked for as a valet. I used to imagine all the exotic places
he may have been. Like those guys on I Spy. Always daydreaming I was.
The other reason I wanted to draw, was to some day be able to draw
a better horse than my Mom.

She encouraged me quite a bit, making sure I always had things to draw and
paint with, probably because she got tired of hearing me say "I'm Bored", as kids
will do.

Then while in High school I had an disagreement with my then stepfather.
I took off, and lived for a couple of months in the La Brea Tar Pits, next
to the LA County Art Museum..Got arrested for stealing dinosaur bones,
and finally moved in with my Dad in Palm Springs. Where I soon became
a vegetarian and seeker of spiritual and philosophical knowledge.
After about a year, I moved into the mountains near the Palm Springs
Ariel Tramway. Where I lived for 5 years as a naked wild man of sorts.

During this time, while walking down to work in town, I found a dead
rattlesnake on the road. It was in perfect condition, so much so that I
was not even sure it was dead. But it was, so I took it to my job in a
paper bag. And there I asked the chef at Pal Joey's if I could keep the
bag in the freezer. When he asked me what it was I told him, and he
started freaking out. I reminded him that it was really DEAD, and
would not thaw out and become a menace.

That is when he pointed his finger at me and exclaimed "You're a Snakeman"!
And that is how I first became known as the Snakeman.
Now "Jagger" is another story all together, but I will not bore you with
that just now. If you ask me about it, I'll tell you the story.
I have donned many faces since those days in the Canyons, all the while
developing my "Style" of painting what is in my head. Now I am a Father, and
a bit of a workaholic, but I enjoy my work very much, and I hope it brings smiles
to the faces of those who see it.
